Hi Rory!
I really like the sleeve draft found in the video series, it is easy to follow for beginners line me.
Is it also possible use the sleeve system in the video series in order to achieve a false forearm? If so, what are the adjustments to the existing draft? Thank you
For a beginner, I suggest that the easiest method might be to actually draw a line 2cm back from the front seam on the under sleeve, then snip down that line and tape the cut-off piece to the top sleeve seam. Of course, in order to do this, you will need to fold/squash the piece on the edge which forms the new front seam of the top sleeve, which brings us to one of the main reasons why 'false forearm' sleeves are a bit trickier than '50-50' sleeves - the front seam of the top sleeve must be stretched at the elbow line in order to join with the under sleeve cleanly.
If you're going to do this, definitely experiment with a test sleeve made of cheap cloth first so you get an idea what to do.
