Greetings from Northern Germany.
For me, it's been a complete and utterly desastrous year - so I am glad to start 2025, confident that it'll be better than 2024.
Which also means: you might read a bit more of yours truly again. (Not sure if you really want to - but hey, not even you can have it all ;) )
My abstinence here did not necessarily mean I didn't spend any time at the board - I have been working on pieces, trousers mainly.
Currently on my plate:
One pair of trousers need finishing (Waiting for silk thread to arrive)
One pair of linen trousers - first fitting done, now rip etc.
One lady's coat in tweed, first fitting done
One coat for my self (On the road to completion - need to set the sleeves
One coat for my best mate (His 50th b'day present) - will post about that, as we did the first fitting yesterday and it's ... complicated
Of course, there are also various side projects (Wife's dress needs a slight adjustment, the kids need some trousers for Kindergarten, my goddaughter (17) likes the "baker boy caps" my kids have, so she wants one too) and all the other small things that pop up.
Never mind the yards of several fabrics, which I have plans for too ... coats, more trousers, some waistcoats.
Come to think of it: This year's amount of time at the board seems filled up already! Better get cracking then!
So, have yourselves a magnificent 2025!
Cheers
Jeroen
