If one wishes to slim the trouser leg a little say 1/2 inch.
Can this be done by removing 1/2 inch from the inside leg on the back part? Or should 1/4 be removed from the outside leg and 1/4 be removed from the inside leg to keep balance?
I should mention that the trouser is finished.
Any ideas?
Jeroen is not wrong. But I doubt a half inch will make any real difference
If you're reducing circumference by such a slight amount, then mostly it will be done from the knee (or slightly above) downwards. So personally, I'd take the same amount off outer and inner seams, otherwise you're shifting the crease line, effectively repositioning the leg. With such a small amount, it probably won't make much difference though.
Preferrably, Take 1/4" from the outsides of both top and underside.
Messing with the seams on the inside legs might cause a while Lot of other issues.
