I know both places. I've bought hymo, prepared undercollar wool, lining, sleeve lining, buttons, chalk pencils, and basting thread from Bias Bespoke. The product descriptions are good and they will identify certain lower-priced products as good for use by students. They are quick to respond if you email them questions.
I bought melton for an undercollar from B. Black and Sons.
I haven't been there in a while, but Beckenstein in NYC has wonderful wool and cotton for menswear. I usually just stare longingly at the fabric because it's too expensive for me. I once did buy a piece of a beautiful wool that was on their off-cuts rack.
I've also heard good things about a place in Brooklyn called Tip Top Super Fine Fabrics. It's a bit out of the way and supposed to have excellent prices for quality fabric.
BTW, people who will be NYC can pick up their purchases in person to avoid a shipping charge. You go to the showroom of Artur & Tailors, the company that owns Bias Bespoke.
This could be an interesting thread - good providers of materials and equipment can be hard to find, particularly for those of us outside of the US/UK.
what about dugdale they sell fabrics too I think they are of good quality. they sell by meter
