I did have a clarification question on the overlocking of the topsides and lining. My assumption is the cutter is off and you are merely joining the edges with the overlock stitch, but since that wasn’t 100% clear, I wanted to be absolutely sure. For most of the steps you called out seam allowances, but there were a few instances where you didn’t, this being one of them.

Ok, that’s what I thought, but wanted to make certain.
Just trim the fibres. Don’t cut the cloth. If the lining is slightly longer you can trim that back to the same length as the cloth.
Yes, sorry, horrible vernacular. Are you cutting off any portion of the seam with the overlocker blade when you are running the topside and lining through, or are you only stitching along the edge? Since the topside is net, I am assuming you are not cutting anything off with the blade, as you would with running a seam through the over locker with a seam allowance.
Could you say that another way? Not sure I understand the question
