Hi Rory
I was just getting a few things organised in order to start the first draft of the coat pattern and I notice that your notes are titled "REGULAR TWO PIECE FRONT DRAFT". I have purchased all three packs from Dugdales as I intend to make a three piece suit. Are there any adjustments needed to this drafting formula to make it more suitable for a three piece? I'm making the assumption that it is labelled that way as there could be a difference.... Does the bottom of the roll line need to sit a little lower to allow one button of the waistcoat to show? Or does the waistcoat take its cues from the roll of the coat? Or is there no difference apart from individual taste?
I hope that you've managed to take sound some time off over the holiday period and look forward to your response whenever you return to post....no rush!
Many thanks
Jeremy
The system is based on height. So if you have an accurate height measurement, such as my height is 6ft 1 5/8”, not 6’ 1” or 6’ 2”. If you follow all three systems of drafting the button height, roll line, coat length etc with work itself out. An important point to note is that my waistcoat draft pairs itself with a high rise trousers. My advise is to wait for the Trouser and waistcoat making series which should be available very soon. I need everyone just to sit tight. I have scaled back my day to day classes to free up the time to make more videos. I promise by the summer you’ll be flooded with choice for videos of various garments and styles.
